History

UMEX S.A. is a private joint stock company founded in 1978 as an important outgoing door of the Black Sea, mainly for the Romanian exports of industrial equipment and project cargo.

Since 1996, UMEX S.A. has looked beyond its traditional activities, getting more and more interested in container operations. As a result, container handling has become the most efficient and prosperous activity in out portfolio.

Since that time, its range of services have improved and diversified, to face the challenges of market economy and its competitors.
